OT - THE COUNTER ON MY WEB PAGE

It was pointed out to me that one visitor saw the counter on my web
page and it said he was only the second visitor. Well, there is no
actual counter, I have to change the numbers myself. And, the only way
I can do that, is if I know someone has visited the page. So, for me to
know you have visited, you will have to sign my guestbook, contact the
webmaster, leave feedback, or click the e-mail thingie. I have
up-graded the numbers, it now shows 3 visitors have seen my web page.
If you have visited it, and not done any of these, please go back, and
do it now, they are all on the bottom of the page. I want to keep
accurate records of how many visitors the page gets.

Thanks

All of your guestbook links are .wav files! So how do we tell you we were
there unless we tell you here!

I don't believe you. If you wanted an accurate record you'd get an
accurate counter.

I respectfully decline that nomination.

There are plenty of free counters available. If T really wanted to know
how many people are visiting his site, he could easily set one up.

Of course he could. That's not the point.

How many legs could he yank if it worked as you expected it to work?

I *think* I can parse that sentence...

Lately I'm losing the ability to tell when he's yankin' and when he
ain't.

Time to step away from the keyboard and get back to making SWMBO's
entertainment cabinet and coffee table, methinks.

JOAT, why don't you go to bravenet.com and you can get a free counter that
will update the count each time someone visits you page by itself. They
also have other free goodies for you web page like guest books and the
like. Just a thought, cause I know alot more than 3 people have dropped
by for a looksee.

You are hereby now nominated as JOAT's accurate counter. Anyone who
accesses JOAT's page must now tell Dave so he can keep an accurate
count. I just went to his page to check out his new bank project idea,
so please add one. :-)

I'm too lazy to dial the modem right now, JOAT, but you can increment the
counter by one, seein' 's how you're the webmaster, and I'm telling you
right now that I saw your funky yellow sled in all its digital glory, plus
them goofy thanksgiving critters you spent a month training.

I didn't see anything in feedback or the guestbook on you being
there. But, I'll go ahead and give you the benefit of the doubt - this
time. OK, I'm changing the counter to read 4. But, I'm gonna fix the
counter so visitors change the number themselves, then we'll see how
many show up..

Nope, just about all the links at the bottom of the page still point to

Gee, that's strange, isn't it?

OK, I've just gone over every one of the clickable links, changed
those needing changing, and tested fhem. They are all now exactly as
they should be, including the counter. Try 'em.

Ah, but they did, several got changed; however, you must have just

Looking at the page source for:

it says things like:

and similarly for the others - maybe what's missing is the link
