Speaking of shotgun pellets. Years ago I ran a very old barn board through my
planner and it came out with a beautiful patina of colors and lead shot sliced
nicely by the knives.
I put a clear coat on it and it hung on my office wall for years.

Would that be an example of "authentic" distressing of the wood?
I will say that you have talent. Your artistry is some of the best I have

I feel your pain. Being one of the people who is causing your pain, I
humbly ask for your tolerance.
Not sure about WebTV, but most newsreaders have pretty good filtering
capabilities. You can filter out certain topics, certain posters, etc.
I do understand the frequent off-topic babbling can be bothersome to
some. In a perfect world populated by better people, each conversation
would be taken to it's proper group. Unfortunately, as you well know,
the world is just a little fucked up and there are plenty of annoying
people around... so adjust yourself accordingly ;-)

Well, it's not my flavor either, but it's still nice work. Apparently
he sells his work... and I've always thought that one of the true
tests of a work's value is whether someone will pay money for it. And
a redneck's money spends just as good as a blueblood's money ;-)

Maybe, maybe not. I always thought it was interesting that two of the

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you mean, but his explanation seems
perfectly OK to me.
He didn't say his nephew wrote one of the posts, just that their WebTV
had been logged in at the time under his nephew's login name. I'd
imagine that one WebTV account can accommodate at least a few login
names... separate logins(nics) fer all the kin ;-)
It's all very plausible and reasonable... no conspiracy here folks.

Your posting style is so pathetically unique that you couldn't fool a
moron with the name change. If you really were so well off, I'd doubt
you feel compelled to share that info with us. And if you are endowed

I check the board for nails pretty carefully too! It was very rough 2" pine.
The pellets had entered the board and the wood sealed over them and weathered. I
had no idea the pellets were there. At least 50 of the suckers were planed.
When I retired I packed it away. Maybe I'll dig it out and post a picture.
