The Dow is like a well:
used but never used up.
It is like the eternal void:
filled with infinite possibilities.

It is hidden but always present.
I don't know who gave birth to it.
It is older than God.

The Dow doesn't take sides;
it gives birth to both good and evil.
The Master doesn't take sides;
she welcomes both saints and sinners.

The Dow is like a bellows:
it is empty yet infinitely capable.
The more you use it, the more it produces;
the more you talk of it, the less you understand.

Don't worry, daylight saving time is coming up here in the US, and that's
when we shift the DOW forward 1000 points.

Do you have any idea how HEAVY gold is? Silver is
about 10 times heavier than water, and gold comes
in around 13 or 14 times heavier. Pick up a gallon
of water - then pick up 9 to 13 more to get an idea
of what that means in practical terms. Moving
gold around can be a PITA. And if you happen to
drop an ingot - say on your foot - you might have
to hand one over to the emergency room clerk.

Now diamonds and gem grade emeralds on the other
hand . . .

Interestingly, gold has slid from the US$1000/oz neighborhood back down
to $925 - usually they swing in opposite directions.

Can you imagine going to the Borg and buying a $2 package of screws with
gold?
Did see that happen in Alaska a few years back.

Don't think of it as $1000.00 per oz

Think of it as around $30.00 per gram....
Now don't that make you feel better.

Only $30.00 per gram.
