8 inch Taiwanese jointer for sale soon.

A freind of mine's looking to unload an 8 inch jointer. He's in the
Tucson/Phoenix area, and wants $1500.00, OBO. Needs new knives. I'll have more
info tomorrow, such as brand name, etc. Tom
Someday, it'll all be over....

Grizzly's G1018 8" taiwanese jointer is $695 new. And it includes new
knives.

This includes a shop building to put it in and an attractive female assistant,
right?

It depends on the tool. Grizzly Tools has offices in both China and Taiwan.
They import from both locations.

Who? The pulp fiction chick with the cocker spaniel haircut?

Monica Potter? I have no idea who that is at all. Halle Berry's hair is
too damn short.

Tits schmits, good hair is hard to find.

Musashi style ? That must be in the sequel. In the first movie she
just carries the one sword.

No, no, and no. Are they recent? Are they out on video yet?

"Along Came A Spider" sounds like a movie version of a James Patterson book,
unless it's unrelated. Alex Cross? Black D.C. detective? That might be
interesting, unless they ruin it the way they ruined "The Bone
Collector." (unrelated; similar genre)

Erf... I wouldn't turn her away from my door, but my motor's not exactly
humming either. Those pictures don't give me a clue who she is either. I
definitely don't recognize her.

Shaven is OK... Looks better than it actually is, since stubble emerges 23
seconds after shaving.

Short hair on heads of the female persuasion is almost always ghastly
though.

I think he'd better lean pretty hard to the OBO side. You can get a new
Delta DJ-20 delivered for $1300 (and it comes with knives). I'm sure you
could get a Grizzly for much less (just checked - $850 for the long bed).
I'm not trying to be the price police...just trying to set realistic
expectations for your friend.

Haven't you seen the movies "Con Air", "Along Came A Spider" or
"Head Over Heels"? I first fell in lust with her in the latter.

I've got a moderately old--rosewood handle, thing is maybe 9, 10 years
max--Stanley 4-1/2 that I can probably find all the parts for. I'd like $500
for it.

Some hope.

Unnamed Taiwanese 8" jointer in superb condtion: $500.

My poor buddy is hurting for cash, so I gave it a shot. Of course, OBO means
just that. The brand name is "Carpenter", the guard is limp, as in drooping
onto the table, spring is weak, so I guess it could be rotated an extra turn.
Again, OBO is the key word here. Let me know about any serious offers, I'll
relay them, and get back to all y'all. Tom
Someday, it'll all be over....

Yeah, Uma's long thumbs are tops!
