DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier
who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Sgt. Michael D. Rowe, 23, New Port Richey, Fla., died in Rutbah,
Iraq on March 28, when an improvised explosive device detonated near his
HMMWV during combat operations. Rowe was assigned to the 46th Engineer
Battalion, Warrior Brigade, Fort Polk, La.
