My shop is a single car garage and is very cramped for space. I bought a
15" floor DP and I could really use the space the 9" Craftsman bench DP
occupies. SWMBO bought me a 1/4" Craftsman router years before I got into
woodworking, but with two 1/2" plunge routers I don't use it much. I have
tried to give away both the DP and the router to a business associate, but
as of yet he hasn't driven by to pick them up.
The bench DP has an accuracy problem. With a 1/4" twist drill bit in the
chuck, when you turn the handle down and hit the depth stop, the end of the
bit moves about 1/8" inch to the back and left. This happens at the full
range of the depth stop.
The 1/4" Craftsman router does not have dust collection.
I have the manuals for both the route and the DP.
These served me well until I got tools better than them. The only reason
I'm getting rid of them is I don't have sufficient space. If anyone wants
them they are available for shipping costs from U.S. zip code 20715.
Drive-bys of course would rate first in terms of convenience.
My email address is easily de-spamified.

The drill press wobble isn't exactly a problem, it's just sloppy machining.
Most of the inexpensive benchtop DPs have loose quills.
Put them both up on eBay. Probably $40-60 for the DP and $20 for the router.

I'm depressed and distressed to report that my 15" floor model has exactly
the same problem. It's something new, I think (unless I've just somehow
managed to go this long without noticing, which I think is doubtful), and
I'm hoping I can adjust it away. I bought the thing in March, so if it's
going to hell this soon, I'm going to be very angry.
Maybe I should have bought the Delta or Grizzly after all. :(

It would do my heart good to give them to someone who would use them. I've
got a lot of stuff people just gave me, because they didn't need it anymore
but I could really use it.
I think it's true that "What goes around, comes around." Another teacher
put it, "As you sow, so shall you reap." <g> I like having people give me
stuff, so to keep the cycle going, here are two items that might be of value
to someone else.

Agreed. Would a local school take them or have a suggestion for charitable
distribution?

Amen! We do that with my spouse's sewing machines. She's a pro and her good
equipment gets passed down, free, to young ones who demonstrate an interest
and desire.
