What tweaks did you make?

I see. Were the tables at least co-planar out of the box?

Mine were. I have heard horror stories about packing/shipping damage
but nothing was visible upon receipt, nor was there any indication after
unpacking. I was told by the Grizzley person that the shipper would be
Viking Transfer or some such. The large tractor/trailer that wound its
way up the mountain and to my house was clearly labelled "Fedex".
Impressive.
mahalo,

Fedex Freight bought Viking a year or two. Out west you'll see Viking
tractors pulling Fedex Freight trailers and vice-versa.

I dropped a shipment at a Fedex Freight terminal once. After five days, I
checked the tracking and it was still shown as being at the terminal. I
called and it turned out that my pallet got overlooked. Who knows how
long it would have sat had I not called. Luckily the buyer was in no
hurry to get it.

Small adjustments to the infeed and outfeed table. Incidentally, I will
pass along some excellent advice that Zeke passed to me: loosen the
motor mount bolts with the stand on its side. It required a 14" breaker
bar with a 19mm socket to break them loose. Not too bad as long as you
don't have to do it with 3" clearance and standing on your shoulders.
As it was, aligning the motor was a bit of a PITA but only required
three bad words.
mahalo,

My son-in-law just took delivery of one of these. I'm GREEN with envy!

You won't be sorry you opted for the better unit. I sure like mine. Get
help to unload it and lift the table assembly onto the base!

Fedex Freight brought my Shop Fox Mortiser to me from Griz in WA
2 days after I ordered it. Monday afternoon to Weds. morning. He
had a truck/trailer with lift gate but didn't need it for the
semi-light box.
