This is the HF 21 degree framing nailer that is currently on sale for
$89.
It was heavier than the magnesium guns put out by Bostitch, Senco, etc.
so that is a consideration.
Worked like a champ on HF 3 1/2 inch nails, tends to jam on the Gripe
Rite nails. We did load it full however and the difficulty seemed to be
in transitioning from one stick to the next. We'll try loading one
fewer sticks of Grip Rite next time and see if it gets smoother.
Finding nails was a bit of a problem at Home Depot but finally connected
with some.
We rented a Dewalt 6.5 cfm compressor, electric, that was awesome. It
not only delivered enough air for 2-3 guns but was so quiet you could
stand next to it while running and carry on a conversation. I could get
spoiled with that. This is the twin tank wheeled one.
Overall a positive experience with both tools. We did use some
galvanized nails into Yellawood so I am hoping they will do. I looked
at the Yellawood site and found fastner specs but could not match them
up with any specs listed on the nail boxes. Time will tell.
