Flexible trim source?

Wife finds round small tables with a fancy trim apparently glued to
the top edge. Google finds rope trim 1" X 5/16" poplar in straight
sections. No description of capability to be bent. Plan is to make a
table to be painted black about 18" - 24" diameter with this
treatment. Suggestions welcomed! Always risky asking for someone to
tell you where to go but I thought it would be worth the risk.

The latest Rockler catalog that arrived yesterday had some flexible
dentil moulding in oak, cherry, and maple veneers.

The plastic molding sticks at HD and Lowe's, right next to the real wood
moldings.
