I just bought the Jet Mini lathe and it is great for it's size and
capacities. It obviously isn't going to compete with its larger cousins,
but it does great for what it's designed for. I got the deal at Woodcraft
with the free leg set, but I've heard rumors that the price on this will
drop soon when Jet releases the VS version of the lathe pretty soon.
I haven't had it long, but have turned a few practice spindles and a few
pens and it has almost no vibration and hasn't missed a beat so far.
