Bosch 1587VS Jigsaw Blade Will Not Lock

I have been using this saw for 6-8 years and all of a sudden I cannot
get the blade to lock. The top-mounted handle turns until it clicks
but the blade is still loose.

Anybody else had this problem? Am I overlooking something obvious?
