Router Plate Installation

Question: How exact does one have to be when centering the router over
the router plate cut out and screwing it to the plate?

If you are going to use guide bushings in the plate, you need to be
right on. I saw an alignment tool some place that sets it up for you.
wasn't very expensive

As long as the largest bit (usually 3-1/2") won't hit the edges, you are
"close enough". It does not have to be accurate to 1 gnat's ass. <g>
