I picked up a Delta dust collector yesterday for $129.00 It's only the
AP400 model but in a 20' x 20' shop, it's enough and beats the little
portable model I had before.

Amen, bruddah. My wife's in the hospital, and I have a feeling January's
and February's budgets are already spent, and then some.

She's out now, for now. Has to go back for gallbladder surgery next week.
At least she's home. I missed her. Being a single parent sucks.

40% off on left handed shovels, and 50% off on left-handed hammers and

You missed my meaning...if there isn't a local store, their main site
forces you to find one. The search engine operation is a sorry mess so
that (at least so for) for me has never worked...I end up having to look
up independently a store to enter. What ticks me off is you can't just
search inventory for a product to see if they carry it independent of a
"local" store...

Why should I have to??? Doing things <for> me is what computers are
supposed to be for! :(
I refuse to do something that is so inanely <stoopid>... :)
It's just an idiotic/simplistic site design created by someone who never

I would have thought it would have been patently obvious I spelt it that
way on and used it redundantly for a second time on "porpoise"... :)
Good.... Maybe this will force Home Depot to get going again this year.

I got the same thing in the mail, in coupon/postcard form. the disclaimer is
on there. Small, but on the same page as the ALL POWER TOOLS line.

I was laid off a few months before 9/11. It really sux, being part of the
"cargo" they toss overboard to try to keep the ship afloat. Hang in there,
I hope something turns up for you. I'm doing ok this year after two years

Put in your zipcode and they'll tell you what store is closest to you.
If your state isn't included in Lowes' range, pick a zip from some
place like NYC or L.A. Google for it by searching "los angeles zip
code" or use www.zipcode.com to find it precisely.
Wow, a PC557 bisquicker for $147.20? _Good_ price.

When I reread what you wrote I could see it either way. Either way, it is a
great deal and thanks for bringing it to our attention.

No, the website says "ALL * power tools" and the asterisk provides
the link to the excluded text Hank described. Check the site again
yourself. That little asterisk next to ALL leads to the fine print.
You're SUPPOSED to miss it so you come to the store all fired up and
end up buying all their products anyway. The practice SUCKS, IMHO.

More likely it's some clown in Corporate who has never used a website
so (s)he doesn't even know WTF to ask for or how to spec it so we
designers can give them what they and their clients/users _need_.
I agree, it's a bad design which pisses me off every time I use it,
too. Even if I know they have it, if I can't find it online to check
price and availability, I go elsewhere to shop for it. Their loss.

Routers, saws, planers, saw blades, drill bits, roto-zip, drills, . . . .
I bought my daughter a Hitachi 14.4 cordless drill, with two batteries,
charger, flashlight, and screwdriver bits for $71. I have other Hitachi
tools and I've been satisfied with them.
I also bought myself a roto-zip for less than $50. I'll use it as a very
small router when one of my large ones is too big for the job.
Other than that, I already have any other tool they have, so I was just out
of luck. :-)
