Any thoughts about the INCRA Ultra 24Sys for dovetails and other joints?

Thanks in advance.

Umm . . Let me think . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . . . . . . .

Well, actually, yes (kinda).

Last weekend I went to my first WW show in Tacoma, WA and ended coming home
with Incra's new LS Positioner Super System (LS + Wonder Fence) from the
Woodpecker's booth.

It is very simular to their 16 & 24 Ultra with some engineering enhancements
and the range with the Wonder Fence is about 17" or about 19" with the
fence off. It has a new 'micro positioner' that's pretty slick that allows
variable positions between the 1/32" rack increments!
It took me about 2 hours to assemble the thing to the 27x43" top I also
bought. After leveling the router base (8 point leveling) it took all of 5
minutes to make my very first ever box-joint box. Just friggin amazing! I
just got some dovetail bits yesterday, so I'm going to try that this evening
and see what happens. With the quality of the machine I doubt there will be
any problem. Also, the thing is flat-out cool looking.

BTW, the LS also comes as a TS-LS for table saw use (longer). Incra and
Woodpecker's don't show the LS on their sites, however if you go to the
'Manuals' section on Incra's site you can download the manual for it.

Hope this helps,

Erik
