Plan to finish a patio bar top with tung oil. Top is made from a solid
core exterior door. Want to paint and gold leaf a logo on the bar top. Not
sure if tung oil will go over this without a problem. Hoping some knows if
this is possible.

Tung Oil, outside? I wouldn't recommend it.

Don't bother with oil. Use a sealer like a marine spar varnish. Oil
is generally used when you want to show off the grain of a nice piece
of wood.
If the door happens to have some nice grain use a coat of something
easier like Waterlox Original to pop the grain and seal it and then
top coat with the varnish. It will look nice without the work of oil
with much better protection. Be sure to let the Waterlox cure before
sealing. A day is probably not enough but check the label for
recommended curing time.

It will look great. For a few weeks. If you want a protective oil, use
something like Penofin.
