I've looked at one, but that's all. To be any better than Milwaukee or Bosch
would be a pretty tall order. The blade still goes up and down the same way as
the others, for the asking price it seems to be overpriced. Another case in
point is the Festool plunge router, this seems to be an 8.5 Amp or so router
with a quarter inch collet for $295.00. They really seem proud of their product
LOL.

You are not the first one to say that Festool is overprized but I
guess you never used one of their tools. Festool's are not cheap and
not tools for everyone but if you really need a tool and want the best
which is available Festool is certainly worth every penny.
I already have the CT 22 vac, the ES 150/3 ROS and my dad has the
unique CDD cordless drill with the right angle and the eccentric
attachment. Last Friday I ordered the plunge saw and the router and
can't wait to get them.
I'd recommend to read the several reviews on the web and to give
Festool a chance and try their tools.

What makes the Festool jigsaw so outstanding is the unique (patented)
CP guide.

Yeah, and there are lots of reasons to be proud of a Festool product.
Festool knows that their tools are worth the price they ask for it,
which can't be said for companies like Dewalt. The DW 980K2 cost about
$ 170 in the USA, here in Austria we pay about $ 410 (at today's
rate).
