OT: testing

Alas, using a new system / newsreader, I just wanted to make sure I could
post.

And your new system doesn't see alt.test or any of the other dozens
of groups made for that?

If he's not using it, it's quite likely he doesn't know it exists. If you
post to it, autoresponders from around the globe will reply to your post,
which is nice if you want to see how well your message is actually getting
to _other_ newsservers.

If he does know about it, and is just being lazy, well, then he can just
get called on said laziness.

So you didn't know how alt.test works. Good, now you do. You're welcome.
Next week we'll work on "why top-posting makes communication difficult".

Or just post a real message, even, and see if that comes through.

Just toss test posts onto any political thread. No one will even
notice. :)

After that, why don't you look into why it is that guys named Dave feel the
need to respond to posts in inverse proportion the value of their
contribution.

There is a pattern here.

Apologies in advance to Messrs. Balderstone and Eisan.
