O/T: Creative Juices

RE: Subject

No doubt most of you have heard of the fish kill at Kings Harbor in
Redondo Beach in SoCal.

Here is an opportunity to get the creative juices flowing.

The following is self explanatory.
------------------------------
Best guess is that fish were being chased by a natural predator into
King Harbor.

Once inside, high winds 30-50 MPH sustained, trapped fish and they
suffocated.

As of today, surface is clear; however, there are dead fish on the
bottom,
estimated to be at least 2-3 ft deep.

When they bloom later this week, things are going to get very
interesting.

Any eco friendly ideas of how to get the dead fish off the bottom
before that happens would be appreciated by those involved.

Could it be the fish sensed the impending earthquake in Japan
and tried to get away before it hit?

Just a thought.

Given an ample supply of clothespins and an off shore winds for a

Convene a meeting of the greenies. Hold a gun to them. Force them to eat
said fish. Deny them medical care. Hopefully one environmental problem will
take care of the other.

The fish already have the smell covered, no burn needed.

With 3 refineries in the area, don't need any more things burning.

A solution seems to be at hand.

Major big time truck mounted air compressors have been brought to feed
air lances (Think oxygen lance for a BOF furnace in a steel mill),
along with vacuum trucks normally used for sewer work.

These lances go to the bottom where the aerate the piles of dead fish,
driving them to the surface where the vacuum trucks suck the fish up.

The air lances appear to be a success, the vac trucks, not so much.

The vac trucks are picking up not only the floating fish, but also a
lot of surface water which is slowing down the process; however,
overall, progress is being made.

Experts say that's unacceptable.

I stood behind R. Lee Ermey at a trade show and asked:

"Lee, you might have heard that a Minnesota legislator has introduced a bill
to provide for an open hunting season on feral cats. I'm putting together a
celebrity cat-call tape for this new group of hunters. Would you be willing

He put down his autographing pen. He slowly turned. He fixed me with a
