I have had good luck with MLCS. They make good bits that are fairly
priced (some downright cheap) that are easily disposed of when they
are dull. They may have changed of course, and that wouldn't surprise
me. But I think what may be happening here is more of a packaging
thing than a lack of willingness to take your money.
I have a guy here in town that buys the same bits from the same
suppliers and sells them through his company. (If you buy 10,000
bits, you get to pick the color of paint on them!) He also buys
fixture and jig hardware like you are looking at for his business and
for resale to his customers.
Like most Chiwanese stuff, it comes prepackaged to the retailer, in
some cases the custom skew barcoded on the packages. I am sure if
MLCS, which is just a bulk bit mover, buys these packages of T track
and knobs all ready to go, right off the boat.
You couldn't get the "special" if they had to open some boxes, take
out parts and pieces of another to get you the exact pieces you
wanted. At those prices I would feel safe in saying that they
probably had a lot of boxes in the warehouse just waiting for a
shipping label, boxes that were never opened stateside.
Just my guess. Been wrong about other things.

I haven't bought from MLSC since they told me it was normal for their
quarter inch straight bits to cut 0.242 slots; but I doubt anyone would
negotiate package deals. That sorta defeats the purpose of them.
