Excluding the drill bit, it is roughly 5 1/2 inches, which is the length
from the tip of the chuck, to the back of the Orbiter "ball"

about 1 1/2" from the edge of the orbiter to the center of the drill chuck.

what's the minimum length needed for tight quarters and how close can one
