Freud FT2200VCEP diffs with FT2200EP

I see Rockler is advertising the Freud FT2200VCEP router. Anybody have
any idea what the difference between this router and the FT2000EP is?
I couldn't find any information on Freud's (marginal) website.

Thanks.
Jeff

Yes, Freud does make some good stuff. But....huh? Your post doesn't
address my question.

I don't understand the point you're trying to make. I didn't mention
'cutting' vs. 'power' tools is my original post. Why the big fuss?

And to your argument that a router *isn't* a power tool...pull the plug
out of the wall and see what happens. :-)

Also, FYI...Freud customer service got back to me earlier today and
said the only difference between the two routers is cosmetic.

I have the first release of the big freud plunger. so old it's in blue
plastic, not the current grey, it's single speed and non- soft start.
it has been a solid reliable workhorse for me.

<snip this n that about Freud>

I don't know about heavy use, but for moderate use, the Freud 3.25 hp
plunge has been very good to me.

Freud makes great cutting tools.

Cutting tools are not power tools.

He never said a router wasn't a power tool. In fact, he never mentioned a
router. What he is saying is that Freud makes good cutting tools, not good
power tools. His opinion. I have never even seen one so wouldn't know.
