Just ordered this set. I don't think I can go wrong for the price. I
just fiqured they would work well for me at this point. If I find I
need something better I can always upgrade. They did have good reviews
and for the price I thought it would be worth giving them a try.
Northern Industrial Tools Wood Chisel Set - 5 Piece $7.99 w/ free
shipping
Don't know if this link will work but give it a try if your
interested.

You don't still believe in the Tooth Fairy too, do you?
The reason you didn't get charged for shipping, is because the
price is high enough that it "includes" shipping. Ergo, "you" paid for
the shipping. TANSTAAFL - There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

HF's set is $6.99 + $6.99 for shipping. They do have their sales on
occasion so the price would be a few bucks less but for the OP, he got a
better deal at NT than he would at HF, assuming he has to order from them.
I have a set of their lathe chisels and for what I do, they work fine. I
can't talk to this chisel set.

I got a HF flyer yesterday. They've got their 6 piece chisel set
for $3.99. That would be at the store. There's a HF store here now
about 20-25 miles or so, a Northern store about the same, and another
Northern store a shade closer. All in all I prefer HF. I've got both
HF chisels sets, and their el cheapo lathe tool set. They all do fine,
so I won't replace them any time soon. Granted I have to pay gas rather
than shipping, but I normally combine several chores in one trip, so gas
cost is immaterial. Personally I'm not sure if I'd buy something like
this without eyeballling it first.

You're paying for the shipping. Harbor Freight has similar, if not

they work just fine. I think they're a bargain.
