Ask a typical voter what he thinks of the Congress and he will tell
you,
"They're a bunch of assholes."

Ask that same voter about his Congressman and he'll tell you,
"Well, he's not as bad as the rest."

Explains a lot.

Where, in the above paragraph do I say that I believe the WTC disaster
was an inside job?
My blurb is about the right to ask questions.

HOW did you get from my statement: " it is OK to ask questions" to:

(your statement) "but if you actually believe that the current
administration actually engineered and carried out the 9/11 attacks,
in the
process killing almost 3000 people and destroying the twin towers,
you
deserve nothing *but* ridicule."

You are putting words in my mouth.

The fact that I think it is prudent to ask questions, does NOT
automatically mean that I bolt onto the nutbars who believe that Bush
blew up the WTC out of anger because he was pissed off by the
interruption of the love triangle between him and Janet Reno and Condy
Rice.

To blindly swallow the Administration's 'approved' bullshit, makes you
somewhat similar to a party-follower from the 1930's Germany. (May I
remind you how well that ended?)

The rest of reply to me is nothing but a collection of red herrings
and straw-men.
DO try to stay on topic.

Jose Padilla was held incommunicado, without being charged
with a crime, for four years. This administration even transferred
him from one Federal District to another to stall his habeus
petition by sending it back to a lower court.

Since you insist on a completely amoral and selfish
reason, I remind you of the wisdom that if you wait until
you personally are targeted it will be too late? For myself,
I will stick to demanding respect for fundamental human
rights regardless of the accusation any government
makes against that person.

Consider the fallacy that the Great Writ of habeus Corpus
doe not apply to aliens or can be suspended by the Congress
other than in the event of invasion or insurrection If that
becomes accepted. If so, any citizen may be denied a
hearing top demand that the government show cause to
hold through the simple subterfuge of accusing him of
being a non-citizen.

A government that does not respect the fundamental
rights of human beings as a matter of principle, will
not respect the rights of its citizens either.

If you want to swallow whole-hog what this reliable administration has
shovelled onto your plate, by all means, have a nice lunch.
There is plenty evidence that the Bush administration has lied about a
lot of things...as much as any other administration... or more. I
think you are being unfair when you expect people to ignore
possibilities OTHER than what's being spoon-fed by the administration.
It is OK to ask questions.
To try to muzzle people who ask questions, will seed the beginnings of
yet another dictatorship.
Mark, stop trying to muzzle/belittle people who have a legitimate
reason to challenge to honesty of the spin doctors from Washington.

The reason the current administration has been able to take away
freedoms, at the rate that they have, is because there are too many
people like you.

Nah, they're all dipsticks. That's why gas is getting so expensive,
there's no way to track the oil supply. 'Cause the oil is in Texas, or
Oklahoma, or overseas, and the dipsticks are all in Washington.

I think the point where you berated me for trying to "muzzle people who
ask questions" and "Stop trying to muzzle/belittle people who have a
legitimate reason to challenge the honesty of the spin doctors from
Washington" when I was replying to someone who was trying to blame Bush and
Cheney for engineering the 9/11 attack might have led me to that
conclusion. Ya think? No putting words in your mouth, just using the
words you used relative to my reply to a troofer.

Huh? First of all, how in the world is simply pointing out stupidity
trying to muzzle someone? Belittle? I'm sorry, you may have some
complaints about the current administration and its policies -- that's part
of living in a free society -- but if you actually believe that the current
administration actually engineered and carried out the 9/11 attacks, in the
process killing almost 3000 people and destroying the twin towers, you
deserve nothing *but* ridicule. The whole concept is absolutely absurd and
deserves nothing but derision and laughter. Too much effort to debunk this
laughable conspiracy theory has already been expended, continuing to expend
more effort when someone comes up with yet another "but what about... did
you consider ... " comment to further dig in is just not worth it.

Please enumerate the freedoms that *you* personally have lost from this
current administration. Aside from the laughable and irritating TSA
nonsense (that was mostly pushed by congress critters).

Now, contrast that with the real losses in freedoms that have been pushed
by regulators in pursuit of stopping global warming or advancing other such
agendas.

It's a Jewish conspiracy. President Bushveld has been spoon feeding us
answers for seven years. It takes a member of the Nederlanders to point
this out to the oppressed Americans, who (if gas prices don't get too high)
will conquor the conquorable. What fucking freedoms have been taken away?
(I almost said "you fucking twit"). As far as I know the US has not taken
any rights or freedom from Canada. Canada has its own problems and can

<major snippage>
I am amazed that the general run of conversation of this (and the first)
thread has been on the oil/fuel situation and not about the atrocities
perpetrated on the USA (and the world).
The fact every war since the Spanish/American war has been started for the
financial gain of the already super rich through false premises!
There is so much evidence about Pearl Harbor and 911 in particular that
should invoke a grass roots wave of the public demanding an open
investigation by non-governmental specialists that are aware and non
predjucial.
I for one am of the opinion that we need to start with a new system ( the
old one has been corrupted to the point of uselessness)

Oh no...not another proponent of 'eat what's put in front of you'!

NO, NO, NO. Here's the REAL reason; this just sent to me tonight.

Stock up on food and ammo!
Or, it could be Les is just selling his book.
