Unfortunately my isp shows stuff for a couple of days , so I could give his
shot a scant viewing . From what I did see everything looked great .
Later thinking about it, I was struck by the differences between the
originals [in stone] and our wooden facsimiles. If the originals were
faithfully copied there would be a full line of columns closely spaced right
along the length of the beam .
Our wooden versions of the lintels are capable of taking tension, so the
spans can be increased considerably, vis a vis the length of engineered
beams .
Again I wonder looking at the larger European cathedrals what would be the
response of modern day architects when asked to construct such out of solid
stone with the requisite 600+foot tower with foundations to match and every
thing in compression [IE no steel]. Notwithstanding a workforce that could
not read let alone have a knowledge of math or science.
It is no wonder that masons and their societies endured so long , 2000+
years ago they must have been viewed almost like magicians

Stop sucking the guy's dick, or praising him like you want to.
