DoD Identifies Army Casualties
The Department of Defense announced today the death of two
soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Umm
Qasr, Iraq, on Jan. 7, when their HMMWV was hit by a civilian vehicle.
Killed were:
Sgt. Nathan R. Field, 23, of Lehigh, Iowa. Field was assigned
to the Army Reserve's 4249th Port Security Company, Pocahontas, Iowa.
Spc. Robert T. Johnson, 20, of Erwin, N.C. Johnson was assigned
to the Army Reserve's 805th Military Police Company, Raleigh, N.C.
The incident is under investigation.
