brackets that allow easy removal

not sure what the proper search term is so maybe if i figure that out i will be
able to find what i need

i am looking for small brackets that connect two pieces of wood but allow
them to be easily/quickly disconnected

You need to be more specific in the application.

For starters just do a Google search on "knock down furniture
connectors" That will give you a wide selection (and sources) for the
type of connectors associated with RTA furniture, etc.

I'm guessing if you knew what the thing was, you'd be able
to describe it in more detail.

In any event, is a mending plate what you're thinking of?

Or a bed rail fastner?

works for me; you can also use hinges (screw one half to the fixed thing, the other
half to the board, slide the hinge pin out to dismount).

have not tried that combo of words yet

i did have some luck using interlocking
some of the interlocking variety are quite expensive

there are some small ones that are cheaper

i may just make something of wood

hanger with a screw and the board will rest on the hanger

Maybe you could describe what you are trying to accomplish - might help
others understand and come up with suggestions.
