I'm going to look at an older Delta/Rockwell table saw and was curious if
anybody could give me some tips/ pointers what to look for? The details
are: 9" blade, cast iron table with extensions, new motor (as long as it's
single phase power is not an issue) the fence is original to the saw, late
1950's manufacture. Current owner says its in excellent condition, no rust
and everything is tight and smooth. cost is less then $300. Reason for
selling is he got a new Ridged saw. My application is general home
renovations, wood flooring and some trim.
Advice and opinions welcome
Andy

Unless you're looking for a "collector's item" or just like smaller saws, I
wouldn't go with a nine inch table saw. They are a _lot_ smaller than a 10"
table saw. Also, in my opinion, 300 bucks for that saw is about three times
what it's worth.
