Here's how to make that sawhorse a whole lot better.
Put the bracing plate on the _outside_ of the legs. When making sets
of horses, make each one a couple of inches longer than before. With
outside bracing, that way they'll stack together for storage.
Alternatively, make then slightly triangular (pyramid shaped). Layoing
out the geometry is a bit harder, but once again they'll stack.
