Cabinet door question: Does clear vertical grain fir move less than spanish cedar?

I am building a set of cabinet doors ( to be painted) for a bathroom
built in and have been told to use either clear vertical grain fir or
spanish cedar. Which of these woods will move less with the changes in
humidity? Other wood suggestions?

Thanks,
Nicholas Falkoff

If the wood is adequately dry and you paint all surfaces, wood movement
should be slight regardless of the wood you use.
That said, Poplar is a very popular wood to use when the piece is to be
painted.
