Poker Table Plans - Help Request

Hello,

I am trying to find plans for a solid Octagon shaped table for playing
poker.

I found one set on the Internet but they want $ 10. Does anyone know where
I can find some others ?

Thank you

Once you get on the ""Home" page, you should see an alphabetical listing of
projects!

Speaking of poker, anyone interested in Poker Chips.

Yup this is sort of spam But I'm a regular here (I at least lurk and
input when I can)and I do work wood, but I also started selling poker
chips. The idea is to raise enough money for a new shop. I'm realy
not kidding here I have the plans sketched out and everything.

At any rate if your intereested in Very Nice 11.7 Gram Dice Pattern
poker chips at a great price check out StoneHouseGaming.com

Thanks

Gunny,

I just built an octagonal table top for my wife and her galpals. I
made it as a table top to put over a card table so I could put it up
out the way when they are done playing. I made it out of OSB and
covered it to within 8 inches of the edges with red felt. The 8 inch
strip was covered with Birch Plywood with an 1/4 piece of trim to
cover the felt edge. I then banded the whole thing with redoak. Came
out looking very professional, but a little heavier than I thought. It
works to advantage though, as the weight keeps the top from sliding
around as you play. The red felt was not as striking as I thought it
would be. It is a conversation piece. If you are interested I will try
to email you a picture.

Another "You did that?" which justifies to SWMBO what I spend on tools
and lumber.

You got it backwards. Now, you have a card table top that you have
to store most of the time.

The proper way is, make a table, with the octagon card table top.
Then you make a regular table top (round, square, rectangle) that fits
over that. That way you get a regular table most of the time, and an
instant card table just by removing the top, with no worry about where
to store the top; plus no worries about the felt getting torn up. And,
if the cops raid your house, it's only a matter of seconds to put the
table top on, thus keeping the wife and her friends out of jail. You
gonna get points for that.

So, make a new table, and top. Then sell the old top to someone
you don't like. Then when you know they're having a card party, call
the cops on them, for illegal gambling. LMAO
