DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier
who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Cpl. Kenneth D. Hess, 26, of Asheville, N.C., died in Rawah,
Iraq on April 11, as the result of a suicide bomber attack while Hess was
conducting a dismounted patrol. Hess was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 14th
Cavalry Regiment, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, Fort Wainwright,
Alaska.
