Radial arm Restoration

I purchased old Craftsman Radial Arm saw Model 100. I am planning to restore
this saw. So far I have taken most of the saw apart. I am struggling to take
the arm (yock)apart from the column. No luck. I cannot figure out how to do
this. Can anyone give me some advise ?

Thanks

From memory, there are a few steps to go through. First take off the little
cap/degree wheel at the top of the colum. There should be a couple of bolts
with their heads inside the column tube. Take those out. That will release a
sort of cast iron shoe. You also need to loosen the traverse lock lever and
knob. I _believe_ (haven't done this in a while) that the arm should just then
pull off with a little fussing with the shoe and locking parts.

There is a dewalt forum devoted to the RAS, as they are the original RAS
manufacturing company. You may be able to get some help there - just don't
make a big deal out it not being a DeWalt...these guys are serious about
their RAS..

Whatever you do, don't drop a Cabinet Master clamp on it head first.
