I need a plane knob for a Millers Falls No. 67 router, it is a tool
in my adult ed. class, in the closet. I checked the museum but it's
not in the list of knobs available, owner Joel will not reply to the
email I sent him. In the class we have lathes but no copy attachment.
Anyone know a good source? Thanks much,
Alex

'Specially if you... Oh, never mind.
Actually Bugbear I just got my answer from Mike about it and it's as
though the man has lost his mental cohesion, or he is senile, as he did
mention this is what he does in retirement. He did not pay attention
to about 80% of the one 7 line paragraph I wrote to him as a question.

AFAIK this guy will make anything - if you want to pay
the price.
I'd echo the other replies in the thread though; just turn
1 (or 2).
Be aware that the thread of the bolt holding the knob
is most likely not a modern standard thread. If the bolt
is missing, this maty be another issue you have to address.

Excellent idea, I just emailed for info on it. The 67 does have the
rod and nut but some vato or surfer stole the wood, probably to
make a para-pipe out of it. Saw the site days ago and didn't think
about it this time. Thanks much.

So turn a pair. That way the timber matches.
Even better is to turn half-a-dozen and select pairs. That way the
shape might even match 8-)
