Planning is critical
If you go to a bar, plan to spend a few bucks more if trying to pick up
babes. Plan to tip the bartender, especially if you go there on a regular
basis. Plan to get a ride home if you drink too much.

Judging from the responses received so far, you might be in trouble on
this subject.
What I usually do is google images until I see some designs I like, go
the sites to see what kinds of pics are available; and start figuring
out how I would build the object.
Ain't brain-surgery and with some time I can usually come up with
some plans or a good set of shop sketches.

Sorry all of my bar plans have to do with number of drinks to be had
and best approach to not go home alone.
