Uh huh. Now let us return to Reality. As recently as the 1960s it was common
for almost every household to have guns. Everyone from the Boy Scouts to local
church groups taught kids how to shoot responsibly. The big change in the
country has been the DISARMING of the civil society ... not by accident, but
to make the citizen more beholden to Big Government.

More Guns, Less Crime.

I certainly would include MSNBC's Olbermann as well. I don't always
disagree with his assessments, but definitely Left Wing.... let's say
Left to O'Reilly. Even O'Reilley gets it right sometimes....(monkeys,
typewriters...) Beck doesn't count as he is completely insane as he
actually believes what he's saying. His audience mostly lives in the
Smokey Mountains, Appalachia and The Ozarks. Rush is purely in it for
the money, so he doesn't count either. If you paid Rush a few K to say
the moon is made of marmalade, he'd do it.... I have never seen such a
whore.

Who'da thunk that painting a gunsight target on Gifford would be taken
literally by some crackpot?
The gunman is said to be a 'Liberal'. Go figgur. So it isn't a right-
wing issue.
It is, however, an example of hunter/killer metaphors being taken
literally by the mentally feeble who think that 'taking out' somebody
is perfectly normal.

There have been previous incidents involving this member of Congress, her
office was vandalized after the health care bill was passed, and a man
dropped a handgun at a similar constituent meeting and was removed by

Puh-leeze! If you can't call it "The Recent Unplesantness," at least refer
to the potential conflict as our "Second War of Independence" (or maybe
Third War, depending on how you count).

paraphenalia, said his favorite books were by Karl Marx. A classmate states
the shooter was "anti-flag." Hardly the c.v. of a tea-partier!

Yeah, imagine that reaction from the lovely libs. I wonder if this
event will start off the cull which some people are saying is coming.

Yeah. It's a shame there isn't a continuum in between those extremes,

Yep, too many Americans with guns, and a society that settles arguments with
weapons, a society that thinks social security, health care for all
irrespective of wallet size, care for the underprivileged, impoverished,
aged etc is an anathema - and large groups spread totally vile
misinformation to ensure that they get all that they want.

With regards to violence - you even have a politician 'Sarah Palin' shouting
for the blood and death of non-American citizens who have had the temerity
to expose what America says about its allies - what does that say about
America and its people?

What chance has America have of peace with a population and government like
that?

And Americans think that the rest of the world is 'nuts'........

One NUT who wanted some attention. Then you have another NUT on MSNBC who
blamed this on Sarah Palin, Sharon Angle, Bill OReilly, and others, not to
mention Conservative Hater Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center
with his expected RANT! Can't wait to see all the new Bills pushed through
the Congress because of this tragedy.

It's being reported now that this guy had letters in his safe. One that
states he has targeted Democratic Rep. Gabrielle Giffords since 2007. Lot of
the blame game here is being placed on the Tea Party which was not even
active in 2007. Thanks Keith Keith Olbermann for sturring the kettle and
calling it black.

Compared to the left, the right has been Mother Teresa like as far as
hate speech and inflammatory acts. The airwaves are packed with
examples of the hate speech from the left as a result of the dumb ass
left trying to pin this on the Tea Party and Palin etc. You would have

fact.

Well, the "Dems", as they are today, are socialists, hell bent on
"fundamentally changing" our country to socialism. This fundamental
change from capitalism and personal freedom to socialism IS destroying
America. The two economic systems are incompatible.

> will dial back their rhetoric, or will they continue to pour

The rhetoric, more accurately the lies, come almost exclusively from the
left. For example, their attempts to tie this tragedy to Sara Palin, or
Limbaugh, Beck and the Tea Party is awesome, particularly when the guy
is a godless socialist with zero in common with any of those mentioned.

You mean things like a painting of a guy pointing a gun at the head of a

The extreme left is total government (totalitarianism), the extreme
right is anarchy (no government) and yes, they both suck. The US
Constitution and the bill of rights puts our government somewhere close
to halfway between center and anarchy. Obama and the Dems are the exact
opposite and are half way, or more, between center and totalitarianism.

When Obama speaks of "fundamentally changing" America, he is talking
about changing from capitalism to socialism, one step at a time... big
damn steps I might add...

Where you stand on government control of health care, auto industry,
banking, education, school loans, even gambling, drinking and smoking
likely would establish if you are gray or not.
