I have just purchased Mario Rodriguez's excellent book
"Building Fireplace Mantles" and although it is
pretty thorough, it presents only one mantle that
SWMBO would consider for the Living Room - the
Georgian Mantle. The others seem to be too modern
and/or simple for the formal look we are after.
I could go ahead with this Georgian design, but before
I start, I was wondering if anyone knows of a book that presents
more ideas / plans for formal mantles? A bonus would be if
it had some ideas with "over-mantles" - raised panels on
the wall over the mantle etc.
Any input appreciated.
