Laminate refinishing ...

Can anyone suggest a decent way to refinish laminate tops (bathroom) short
of total replacement? Are there are any finishes that can be used? What
preparations steps would be needed.

TIA

If you're going to paint, use melamine paint, applied in thin coats with a
foam roller.

I have seen them painted. Clean with solvent, scruff with 400 grit
paper, clean again and get out the oil enamal or epoxy of choice.
Might be faster if it has square surfaces to glue on some new
laminate.
